What to do if company not paying the salary

I am staying in Maharashtra , and i used to work in a school in gujarat where i had a dispute with the school management and now they are Denying for my previous month salary which labour commissioner office should i go to complaint? I was on holiday for 8 days which was approved as LWP from 12/09/2018 to 20/09/2018 , as on 15 th of every month we get our salary of previous month pay roll cycle everybody salary credited but my didn't so i escalated the matter to principal she told your salary of august would come in october , so had an argument so i decided to resign next day now they are not responding for my salary
This is my response to you:
1. Firstly send them a legal notice;
2. You can send it through a local lawyer;
3. If it is a government job then approach the labour commissioner of Gujarat in that jurisdiction;
4. If it still does not get resolved then approach the labour court;
5. Consult a local lawyer, let him/her see your appointment letter then take the next legal step.

You have to send written representation to your school to release salary.
If you not received proper response you can approach higher authority. Also chek if there any school tribunal.
You can also file writ potion in High Court in state where you work..
