What to do employer is not giving salary as i resigned without notice

26-Jun-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I was working as an assistant professor at an engineering college. I resigned my job without giving prior notice period. As at that time it was a slack period means no student are present in college. College use to keep salaries of all staffs pending by 2-3 months. Now as I resigned without notice period they are refusing to give my salary of 1 month. Is it legal? Should I get my 1 month salary?

This is my response to you: 1. If you have signed a bond stating that you will give the notice period then you are legally bound by it; 2. Sometimes there is clause to buy out your notice period by waiving off your 2 or 3 months salary; 3. If no such clause is there then you have to attend the notice period; 4. If there was no bond, then you can directly send them a formal letter stating that you need to be paid 1 months salary; 5. If they refuse to pay then you will have to send them a legal notice.
