What legal cation can be taken for breaking Verbal commitment

I retain in the company for 6 month verbal commitment and they have also update my salary structure. i have again resign before completing 6 month. my 6 month of verbal commitment will complete before completing my notice period. My employer said you have break the verbal commitment and if you want to leave the organisation then you have to pay incremented salary amount for the 6 month. I are also not going to pay me variable amount for whole year which is 24k. Is there any legal action can take against them if they are ask me for money.
in some cases verbal commitments are also seen as an implied contract. upon the violation of such contract you can file s civil suit under the provision of contract act and civil procedure code together, there are ample of remedies in your case.
