Week off should be excluded from planned leaves

12-Dec-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)

Hi Team, I'm working with a Pvt. Ltd. Co. in Bangalore with Mumbai Head Office. This query is with regards to Plan Leave (PL) which company provides us is 22 in year and we can accumulate 42 max after that they get expired. Query is that when we take PL from Thursday to Monday (including Saturday and Sunday) so company asks us to apply 5 Plan Leave from Thursday to Monday including Week Off on Saturday and Sunday. However as per my understanding Week Off should not be sandwiched and should be given as week off instead of asking us to apply PL. Could you please advise if this is legal.

Private companies have their own law and nature of working. Its really very difficult to suggest that it is legal or not. Different companies have different rules, we need to go through the contract between you and your company to clarify the doubts you are seeking.
