Took leave for 3 days co. deducted salary for 6 days

05-Feb-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I am working in a pvt. ltd company since last two years. I have also my offer letter in which there is no such provision of deducting the salary for double of number of days taken for leave, if it is taken without prior notice. But now after 02 years, the company has told such a provision but have not given this in written. So, I am afraid that my company can deduct the salary for 06 days as i have taken leave for 03 days only. so, please let me know what to do if my company does like that .

Dear Sir/Madam,
Don't be afraid of what will happen in future? Future is always uncertain so think over it when something seems to happen. If you have not got anything in written then you are not bound to it. And in case it happens then again you can avail our services.

If such a provision was not in the written contract then it cannot be given effect to and it would be illegal for your company to deduct the salary for twice the time period of absence. If your company still deducts the unwarranted amount then you could take the matter to the Forum as provided by the contract or to the appropriate Court of Law under the relevant statute.
