Termination on the ground of fraud when it was just a mistake

26-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I was working as an officer in a nationalised bank...I committed a mistake of debiting P/L account & credited my account. The money involved is Rs.1.14 lakh and I was terminated from service. Later on, recovery of Rs.1.16 lakh was done from my account. my intention was not of fraud. I just want to ask is it justified to terminate me for Rs.1.14 lakh. I'm 31 yrs old, I have a lot of family responsibilities. Due to 31, I'm not able to apply for any govt. & most of pvt. job also.

You need to challenge your termination on legal grounds. The grounds of challenge may be suggested to you only after one goes through your order of termination and the preceding proceedings. Contact a lawyer specializing in service matters.

was any inquiry done against you by the bank for the said fraud alleged and whereby you were terminated from the job or the termination order was passed without taking into consideration any inquiry in this regard and without giving you an opportunity of challenging the same?
