Termination from job and asking for recovery when on medical leave

I had joined bank in September 2015 after joining that company I have some medical problem. So my doctor suggest me for surgery in June 2016 I was admit in hospital and go through the surgery. Doctors prescribed 3 month rest I had mail my senior and hr. In August operated area got infected that's why I had to readmit in hospital for 10 days. After second time operation doctor advise me not to travel at least 6 months and not seat I mail my boss regarding this with medical but in November they terminate me and now they asking the recovery of 61000. Till date I am not get job because of my termination I don't have single penny . Sir suggest me what should I do they threatening me if you will not pay that amount we will take action against you. What should I do?
A suit for damages may be filed against your boss in a civil court. But ideally one should start with approaching the management of the Company so that an internal inquiry may be conducted against the concerned person. One will need enough proof of harassment to successfully sue the boss. Also with greater details the possibility of filing a criminal complaint against the concerned person could be explored.
