Signed cheques of employees on whom inquiry is on

11-Sep-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I am one of the signatory of a state funded society. On the advice of Secretary I signed few salary cheques of an employee whose inquiry is being held. The Govt dissolved the Executive Committee and the Administrative Officer shall take charge. If on the inquiry the said employee found guilty, can I be held responsible for signing salary cheques.

If the delinquent employee is not placed under suspension during the period for which salary cheque was signed by you, the concerned employee got his salary for the services rendered by him.You are in no
Way shall be held responsible. Moreover, you have signed on the salary cheques duly authorized by your superior authority. If in course of enquiry proceedings, the concerned employee is found guilty, the disciplinary authority shall take action in accordance with the provisions of the service Regulations of your organisation. You need not be worried in the matter.Should further instructions is required, contact lawRato.
