Selected in IT company can they ask for cheque of 2 months salary

07-Jul-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I have been selected in a IT company in Gurgaon. I have demanded a period of 2 months for joining. The company has put a condition that they will issue me offer letter only if I provide them a future date cheque of 2 months salary. My Query is:- 1 Is it legal for the company to demand a cheque 2 if i do not join after two months and I stop the payment of cheque, can the company file a case against me for cheque bouncing

Dear client, if anybody issue cheque to anybody, that means you are legally bond to pay the amount of the cheque, your employer can file a complaint against you U/S 138 of NIA, it is matter of evidence, that you have issued a cheque for what purpose,
