Salary issue as salary cheque bounced

26-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
My problem is multilayered... I joined a new company on the 27th of June .So my salary cheque of June for the 4 days of June amounting to 3133 rupees was given to me after the 15th of July. I deposited the cheque into my account on the 30th of July which then bounced. I informed my employer but there has been no resolution until now. I quit my job soon after that in the month of August. So my salary for July is also not paid yet . All in all I am expecting to be paid the amount of 3133( the cheque that bounced for June) + the penalty + my July salary. Can you please advise ???

for the cheque which has bounced you can send a legal notice to your employer regarding it. and can also mention the salary which is pending towards them. what is the cause of Cheque bounce? if the case if filed within limitation period then you can pursue the case under section 138 NI Act and for recovery of salary you can file a civil suit.
