Salary & Experience letter on hold, HR asking to pay for notice period

 I work with a small software firm..I resigned in Sep. And did continuous follow up with Hr and my manager for knowing the last working day in the company..I never said that I will not cater the notice period and I went on leave for few days due to family emergency...my manager was in touch with me. when I returned hr told me that I need to pay for the notice period. Exit formalities was not done and hr communicated that I am saying no to cater the notice period...My salary is on hold..and company wants me to pay for the notice period but I was ready to cater the notice period. plz help Please let me know the fees and process to overcome this situation..and how much time will it take to close this case..

Dear client,
Please send a legal notice to your employer mentioning that you are ready and willing to serve the notice period. Once that's done , we have a solid proof that we were ready to serve the said period as agreed in the terms of contract/appointment letter
