Resignation & relieving letter issue
22-Mar-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Sir ,
I resigned by e-mail on 01.03.2020 with immediate effect due to health. Its 60 days notice before resign per job terms . After 12 days they called a meeting on 13/3/2020 & taken full handover from me. Then after handover they sent e-mail to me stating "we acknowledge the receipt of your resignation by e mail on 1/3/2020 but we got complaint abt u from someone there is a ethical violence which we want to investigate now & Hence, the resignation is not accepted & put on hold till then you wil b on paid leave".
My questions :
a) Can they start investigation after resignation with immediate effect ?
b) Do i need to serve remaining 40 days notice period forcefully when proper handover is done on 13th Mar ? i need to start new job soon sir
c) Does the acknowledgement by e-mail on receiving my resignation on 1.03.2020 means acceptance or admission in legal sense ? can it be put on hold after immediate resign ?
Request Please reply all points a, b & c above pointwise
Thanks
vinay
