My father is an ex-employee from survey of india who retire on 18/07/2018 and he joined in august 2004 .he full fills the condition as per DOPT om 57/05/2021-p&pw (b) for one time option for NPS to OPS. My father applied for one time option to choose from NPS to OPS on 24/11/2023 which was after deadline date 31/08/2023 because nobody from department informed him about this. So after that my father wrote 2 application to department to consider his case but they rejected now what should he do ?
he should approach the high court and file a petition seeking for relaxation of date and permission to change his option , the court may allow it, or direct the authorities to dispose off the application on compassionate grounds
