Not getting salary of 4 months from previous company

22-Mar-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)

I have completed bond of 1 year but I did not complete the notice period as I got immediate joining from another company. My 4 months of salary is pending. Company is asking me to pay bond breaking charges as I have not completed notice period. Also not getting remaining amount from company. What can I do in this case?

Assuming you are employed in a private sector, your term of employment is governed by your employment contract. If you have not served your notice period then if specified in your contract you are liable to pay the bond breaking charges. The company can deduct the concerned charges from your pending dues. If you are not getting the remaining account after deduction of fine from your company then you can send them a legal notice for the same.
