Non payment by a firm/debt collection

03-Jun-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I was working with an event management firm named Paul Entertainment. The proprietor didn't clear all my dues which are over 30,000 Rs. I have tried talking to him over phone and messages. He sometimes give a response but only asks me to wait for another week. He never gets back in touch after he says that. Now, I don't know what steps should be taken at this moment.

Hello sir. I have perused your query. You can send a legal notice to the proprietor claiming the amount due with interest in addition to cost of notice. If he fails to respond within the stipulated time, you can always file a suit for recovery in civil court. Please feel free to reach out to me in case you wish to discuss the matter in more detail.

Since it is a matter of recovery of dues, you should send him a legal notice giving him 15 days time to clear your dues. In case he is unable to or he doesn’t reply to the legal notice, you can file a recovery suit against him in a civil court of law
