Hi,
When the accused is acquitted after full consideration of prosecution evidence and that the prosecution had miserably failed to prove the charges levelled against the accused, it can possibly be said that the accused was honorably acquitted. However, the term has not been defined or mentioned anywhere as such. However, even after acquittal by the criminal court, the person can be required to face departmental proceedings in which strict burden of proof is not required but only preponderance of probabilities is sufficient.

But it seems in your case there is no issue of departmental proceedings and if appointing authority is refusing job only on grounds of honorable acquittal ,than yours is case which is treated as honorable acquittal.
