Any establishment, which employs a staff of 10 or more people, is bound to extend the benefits of the maternity benefits act to its employees and thus, this includes the private school as well. You should move a complaint before the concerned Labour Commissioner of the area and supply to him a copy of the notice for maternity leave, the medical reports reflecting your expected date of delivery etc. and request him to intervene in the matter.

As per Maternity leave ,you are eligible to get benefit of this act.you may approach to higher authority as director,Manager,D.I.O.S.etc.If they do not satisfy and reject your claim then you immediately approach in Hon,'ble high court . you may also give your application to state also.
