In case you have hidden your actual date of birth at the time of appointment and have provided an illegal document in support of your age proof, the organisation can even terminate your services or otherwise suspend you and conduct a departmental enquiry in this regard.

If the employee is 10th passed, then his age mentioned in the high school would be consider his actual date of birth. But if he is illustrate then the date of birth recorded in his service book would be treated his date of birth. Punishment will depend upon the nature of charges, and appeal will be depend according to the status of the employee and as per the provisions of service law of the department. For better answer you are required to sho the documents and at least brief facts of the case.
