Left job without serving the notice period

I am software developer in an It Company. I left my previous company without serving the notice period. And now, they are threatening me by saying that they will take legal action against me. Please give me advice that what should I do. Thanks

Your terms and condition of the employment is regulated by your employment contract. In case there is a clause regarding serving of notice period then you are bound to do that. If your company takes any legal action against you then it is advised that you hire a competent lawyer to defend yourself.
