Last Company not settling my previous dues

09-Apr-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Dear sir/Madam, I was working in private company in chennai last year. I joined that company on Aug 2016 and served my 2 months notice period and also gave my resignation letter on Nov 2016 after working and serving the notice period. The company took 4 months for preparing my full and final settlement sheet and after that I thought they will give my cheque immediately as the sheet has been made ready. But when i asked Human resource department they said it has gone for approval in my previous company head office which is located in Bangalore. I asked the duration that can take but my HR said that how can I ask this to head office like that. I also informed that i need my settlement cheque immediately as it was required for me on urgent basis. My previous company HR not responding all to my mails and when i go to my previous company they are not even explaining me properly. So how to solve this and i want my cheque immediately Please help me

Dear Sir / Madam

It is highly condemn able that your company is getting delayed the benefits payable to you after serving 2 month notice period to you. Notice period also they have to make payment without delay. It is mandatory that the company has to pay monthly salary to its employee immediately at the end of the month. Your company's HR is liable to pay your salary. You may lodge a complaint to the Jurisdictional Labour officer in your area in this regard to get your salary immediately with interest.
