14-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Sir, i signed a cheque to give it to a company for joining there of rs 2 lakh for 2 years. i left the company after 7 months because of high mental pressure. The company issued the cheque and I sent stop payment message to my bank. Now they are sending legal action under 138. What should I do. (The salary was only 3.5 lakhs per annum and no facilities and no trainings were provided)

please contact me with full/more details. we will try to fight the company based in the onus of 'inconvenient work environment, no training etc'

I need to look over the memorandum of understanding between you and the company (appointment letter and the like).

they must be sending a legal notice which is mandatory in these type of cases. you should also reply the same through an advocate. if then also they aren't satisfied with the reply and file a case then you must contest it. but usually in these type of case they don't file a case. u can also file a case against them.
