Is it legal to have marital status as an eligibility criterion for job

Hello - I received a job email whereby the eligibility criteria is mentioned as "Married Not Applicable" so i want to know 1) is this legal 2) under what section can they be prosecuted or which section of Indian constitution does not allow this kind of eligibility criteria 3) Eligibility criteria - age group from 20 to 30 years only

There is no federal protection in place to protect workers younger than 40 from age discrimination. To determine if you are legally eligible to perform a job, employers are allowed to ask if you are over the age of 18. further the companies are in the capacity to ask certain information.
