Is it illegal to show resignation letter copy instead relieving letter

11-Sep-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I have resigned from my job by submitting my resignation letter on 4.07.16 and joined new one on 15 .07.16. I have asked for relieving letter but they told that it will take few months however you can show your resignation letter copy to them. Now they have relieved me after vigilance process completion on 22.08.16. Will it lead to any problem or not in my present job?

I do not see any problem as long as you have resigned and your resignation has been accepted by the company. Moreover, now you have even got a relieving letter from the company, there is no reason have any apprehensions.

If your employers agreed to your joining them on the basis of your resignation letter and you made them aware of the fact that the relieving letter would be issued only after sometime then you should definitely have no problem with your present job.
