Is agreement to not post bad review on social media legal
13-Jul-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I worked as an intern with a start up for a week, and after the week was over there were issues related to payment since there was some miscommunication, and as I was disappointed I have them a bad review on Facebook. Also I agreed to not post bad review on social media before joining , they sent these forms over email and I had to send them back over email but I didn't sign them physically only typed my name in which is considered as signing by them. Now the question is if they can sue me for the bad review and if they are allowed to make interns sign no bad review policy ?
This is my response to you:
1. They will not sue for you such bad reviews since you are only an intern;
2. You can remove the review you have written;
3. It is a small matter and therefore your should not worry about it;
4. Nonetheless you have rights protected under the freedom of expression;
5. Therefore sort it out on personal level without complicating it.
