i got a legal notice from my last employer

25-Sep-2024 (In Labour & Service Law)
The legal notice i received from DNSS's lawyer accuses me of breaching my employment agreement, specifically the confidentiality clause by working with his past client who has left him before i have started working for the client he is referring , and lays out serious allegations regarding Unauthorized retention of a DNSS-issued Dell laptop, which they claim contains proprietary information. Alleged collusion with a former DNSS employee and involvement in unethical dealings with Dropstat Inc.

Seek a detailed legal consultation from an Advocate having expertise in corporate laws. You need to file an appropriate reply to the legal notice by rebutting the false allegations. Take legal assistance and get the contents of your employment and legal notice legally perused

Dear Sir/Ma’am, You should give a stern reply to the accusations levied against you, denying each and every averment levied. Further you should explain that the accusations levied are neither correct nor have any basis. Furthermore, if your former employer still pursues the above matter then you will be constrained to take legal recourse.

You should first review your employment agreement carefully, especially the confidentiality and non-compete clauses. If the client referenced in the legal notice became your client after you left DNSS, the claim of breaching confidentiality may lack merit. Regarding the DNSS-issued Dell laptop, it's important to return the device promptly, particularly if it contains proprietary information. If DNSS did not previously request its return, you can clarify this in your response to strengthen your position. On the allegations of collusion with a former DNSS employee and unethical dealings with Dropstat Inc., DNSS needs to provide specific evidence. If they cannot support these claims, the accusations may not stand in legal proceedings. Additionally, keep all communication and records related to this issue well-documented for future reference.

We should immediately reply to the legal notice by refuting the allegations levelled against you, otherwise it will be deemed to have accepted all the allegations levelled by the employer against you
