How to obtain salary slips and offer letter from the previous employer

Employer has not given offer letter from last 14 months and after completing one year I ask for hike but no response.They have taken my original certificate also.Now if apply any where the first requirement is offer letter & salary slips which my employer is not providing. How I can come out of above situation. Need advise.
What is your education and what is the nature of your job ? If you are educated how can you can sleep on your offer letter for one year ? If company has done so then it must be very unprofessional conduct and don't respect their employees it seems . Any company will see the original and keep the xerox copy of it and will return the originals immediately . Now ask for your original docs if they cause trouble then you can issue legal notice through your advocate. Which 3rd class company it is ?
