How to obtain information regarding selection criteria for gov job

I had applied for a government job and the form mentioned to provide education details in chronological order. I had passed my post grad and graduation in the same year as i had a back in my graduation course. they have rejected my application, what can i do.
With out seeing the job criteria it is very difficult to advise whether the govt. was at fault in rejecting your candidature. If you fulfills all the criteria for the said job then you can challenge the recruitment process and seek re examination by way of filing writ petition in High Court.
