How to initiate exit proceedings from a contract of employment

have 3 year service agreement with company, completed 1 yr 6 months. I am not willing to work with organisation. If i leave now have to pay 4 lac rupees and i shouldn't be associated for mentioned remaining period with related technology or company. What should i do? If you want detailed terms and condition i can provide by mail.

Yes one is required to look into the employment contract. However as it seems, you have singed some kind of employment bond with your employer. At the time of joining the company and at the time of signing the contract were you aware of such rules. According to Supreme Court judgement the companies are not liable to restrict the employee from leaving or paying the money to the company as it infringes the fundamental rights of the person. But the companies are not taking the ruling seriously and still get bonds and contact signed from their employees. Try to negotiate with your company and get the reliving letter.
