How to get promotion in a private bank working for last 10 years

I am working with a private bank from last 10 years but till date I was not promoted so is there any way I should be promoted ?
What is the policy with regard to promotion in the bank and what is the designation that you want to be promoted to? In the normal course promotion is granted on the basis of merit or otherwise the norms as prescribed by the institution. If there has been some discrepancy in this regard, you can definitely approach the appropriate forums for redressal of your grievances.

Since some of the acts i.e. Employment Exchanges (Compulsory Notification of Vacancies) Act, 1959 is applicable under the banking law hence an employee of private bank can claim to be promoted after having 10 years of his satisfactory and unblemished service in Indian Banking System.
