How to deal with false allegations from ex employer

Hello sir, I was previously employed in a hospital till 12 th May. But I resigned from that job and joined another company. My previous company did not receive my resignatiom,so I emailed them a copy of that and joined new company. My company tries to buy out my notice period but my previous company remained indifferent to it. But now my previous company has notified my college that I was absconding from my duty till May,2017. College is thretning to disallow me from my last semester. What should I do?
were you employed or interning with the hospital. you need to clarify this. if you were interning then you can show your internship certificate to your college as the dates would be mentioned in the certificate which will not hamper your studies and there would be no issues in future. in case you were an employee then you will have to show the requisite documents proving your tenure with both the companies
