How to deal with employment bond while leaving the organisation

Hi sir, I am currently working for which I signed a bond. I am selected for a central government job which I have applied before joining my current company. my current company is asking to pay me the bond amount and saying the bond transfer is not applicable. Also, I feel bond amount demanding is not reasonable and it is completely in favour of the employer. Kindly help me to deal with the situation.
