17-Jun-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Sir,iam a govt high hindi school teacher. im 58 year old and i will complete 33 years of service this year. few student i class 10th give complaint against me that i dont teach upto their mark.. they say i teach slowly... A girl directly said to me in front of whole class and we will bring new teacher"i dont understand what you teach dont come to our class" its so humiliating. she complained the higher authorities through gram panchayat that i dont teach upto her level. so i should be worried or not... since senior teachers cant get transfer at this age i dont know what to do.
Your age shows your experience at your job, hope all these years you must have taught well and that's why you have still survived in your job. Mean time have a open discussion with students about the lesson and what kind of teaching they expect from you and how can you help them to understand the lesson better. Teach confidently don't go in detail select the important portion which is relevant for examination and try to teach them properly by briefing interestingly. You can tell the meaning of hindhi words in kannada or english to the students. Be confident and commanding if required. If you react slowly and smoothly means students will take you for granted. Give home work and check it everyday be strict who doesn't do it. There are many experiments which you can do sort out this problem and its not an legal issue.
