How to claim gratuity from employer
27-Apr-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
My employer has terminated from service however I worked with organization more than 5 years. Could you please suggest how to claim gratuity and what timeline we can claim the gratuity.
Hi!
Since you had completed over 5 years of work before your termination, you are entitled to your gratuity instantly. The moment your ties with the company were severed, you ought to have received your gratuity within a few days. You should not wait for long to pursue, otherwise your file may be sent in cold storage. You can claim gratuity by sending a simple email; if not, then a legal notice a few days afterwards; finally, last resort would be filing a case.
