How to claim and calculate back wages in case of illegal termination?

I am being reinstated in service after 19 months. It would be helpful to know, how to claim and calculate back wages?
You can calculate the back wages from the date of termination till the date joining. Further backwages should be calculated on the basis of the last pay drawn
