24-Dec-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I was faculty at Jaipur National University, Jaipur. At the time of Joining they did not give me appointment letter. After one year they presurise me sign the unacceptable conditions of service like "You can leave the Job with three months prior given notice to the University and the University may terminate your job with one months notice or in particular case your job may be terminated at any time without any notice. Please guide me, is it legally accepted conditions of the appointment

Dear, this is a culture with such organizations that they get sign such appointment letters holding service conditions in favour of employers but there is nothing to be worried about , you should see entire text carefully
what is the probation period?
what are other conditions like your eligibility ?
how will they evaluate after probation period?
it would be better if you discuss and show your appointment letter and one thing you should bear in your mind that any organization can not remove any employee without adopting due process and without processing and adhering law of natural justice.

No any person or institution can take the consent from their employees. No any institution can terminate or remove or dismissed any employee without rhyme and reason. There have to be some reasons for the same. You can demand your appointment letter or related docs from the University authority. And also that you have mentioned that university pressurized you to sign on acceptable conditions but I think every institution have some prescribed form of conditions under the rules or regulations, every employee is bound to those conditions, and every institution is also bound to their rules and regulations. Don't worry I think nothing will happened, You cannot thrown out from the service without giving opportunity of hearing. Read the Rules regarding conditions of service.
