Forced Performance improvement plan within 2 months into new project

I have been working with this company for last 3 years and had a good track record.Had got promotion as well.2 months ago I switched project within the same company and my manager has put me on performance improvement plan within just 2 months stating client is not happy with my performance.They have spoiler my performance track for no reason.what are my options because I fear they might forcibly ask me to leave as well

This is my response to you:
1. You can give a formal complaint to your manager;
2. If they do wrongfully terminate you then you can send them a legal notice;
3. You must discuss full facts of your case;
4. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
