Failed student on minimum interview marks in govt PSU, what to do

when in a advertisement , there is nothing written about minimum interview marks, company failed student on behalf of interview, after all total marks of that student is more than to last candidate (same category) who is working now in that company .
If company is govt. Or any semi govt. Company you can ask for final result.
If company is private or any other type of company than their descrition is final and non objectionable.
First clear all the circumstance for appropriate reply.

If there is rule that minimum marks required in the rules of the company that you have no case and if there is no rule of minimum marks required in the interview and even there is no condition is stipulated in the advertisement you have a case.
