Employer refusing to pay wages for the workers
17-Jan-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hello I'M writing here to get legal advice about my case . where I worked for company as an promoter/supervisor through a event company for a period 8 days on per day basis wage .now that event company refusing(not directly) to pay wages .what should I do? and what legal option i have?
There is a solution for every problem in law. It is quite common in India for these event company to refuse the wages to the promoter/supervisor. These event companies think that promoter/supervisor have no options or the resources to pursue a case against an event company. In reality, there are several things an promoter/supervisor can do that can land an event company in a real trouble.
I would firstly suggest you to send a legal notice through good lawyer asking them to pay the money. A legal notice is therefore a formal communication to a person or an entity, informing the other party of your intention to undertake legal proceedings against them. Many a times, a legal notice is served will bring the other party on heels, and the problem can get resolved out of court too, with fruitful discussion on both sides.

You should send them a legal notice asking for your dues. Over here them stands for the event company and the principal company where you were actually deputed. It is only then you will be able to know that whether the principal company has released the payments of your event company and with such release made why still you have not been paid. In case the principal company has not paid the event company in that case you can directly ask your dues from the principal company.
Dear Sir/Ma'am,
The best way to get your payment is to confront the company directly. If they deliberately ignore or waste your time through aimless indecision you can serve a legal notice against them. In case they don't reply to your legal notice within the prescribed time period you can then proceed to file a case against them.
Thank you.
