Employer demanding to work on Sunday without extra pay, Is it legal

Hello I am working with civil contractor in pune. I would like to know is it legal if contractor ask me to work on Sunday without any extra pay on Sunday or weekly off. I work on construction site and I have to go to site on Sunday. Kindly explain what can be done.?
It is definitely not legal But you cannot really do anything.
If you say No to your manager/ contractor it will definitely impact you in the future as the manager decides on your ratings, increments, promotions.
And you already now In India It is more about relationship with your manager/ contractor that matters most than what is the quality of work you are delivering. indian labour laws are not very strong when it comes to harassment of employees
