07-Jul-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Employer forced me to write down my resignation letter in white paper because I have tried to open a cupboard in open area which was kept near to womens washroom and where we usually keep our bags. Please advise the legality of HR forcing to write down the resignation letter immediately on white paper.

If your employer doesn't want you around any longer, she can force you to resign or terminate you if you don't agree to resign. And, in most instances, she probably wouldn't be violating any labor or employment laws. Naturally, you can't be forced to sign a letter of resignation if you absolutely refuse to put your signature on a letter you didn't write nor wanted to write. But regardless of the formality, your employment can end whenever your employer chooses -- signed resignation or not.

Why did you open that cup board did any of your female employees keep their personal belonging in that. Anyhow why for that petty reason your company people will tell you to resign. Since how many days you are working there have you got appointment letter and what is the terms and conditions or policy of the company says for the termination. Did they conduct disciplinary action against you before forcing you for resignation, if not approach any advocate and send legal notice to your company's concerned authority and then you can sue them if it falls under illegal termination.
