A Government Employee is not supposed to take part in election as Candidate without prior sanction from the Government. The same rule applies to any kind of election whether it is for the society or RWA. Any government employee is not eligible to take part in election of RWA without prior sanction of Government.

Kindly confirm whether your RWA which you are mentioning here is duly registered with the Registrar of Societies under The Societies Registration Act 1860? Irrespective of the above, there is no law or rule that prohibits a government employee or servant whether working in central government or state government to stand in elections for any office of the RWA or hold any office of the RWA.
