A person who is employed mainly in a managerial or administrative capacity is not 'workman' for purpose of the Industrial Disputes Act. Your query states that you are a technical person having managerial level - this is contradictory as a technical person would be a 'workman' but a person of 'managerial' capacity is not. Please look into Section 2(s) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 to get a better understanding.
