Do we have to serve the Notice period before leaving a company?

i joined a non registered company. in the agreement it was mentioned that i have to serve a notice period of 2 months. i want to leave the job. i dont want any experience letter from them. can i leave the job? will they take any legal action?

generally a company used to get a bond signed from the employee before joining. have you signed any bond? or sometimes there are certain terms and conditions which you have to sign before joining the company or in case the same may be mentioned in your joining letter. All this is nothing but an agreement between the employee and employer. if the condition of 'notice period' mentioned in any of the above documents it's became imperative to observe the same. if yes then you have to serve the notice period else the employer may take legal action i.e. file a civil suit against you for recovery of the amount equal to the salary of the notice period recoverable from the employee.
