19-Jun-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I am a homemaker, wife of Ex-Driver, Spl. Grade, Central Excise, Kolkata, my husband expired on 26.01.2008, while he was in service. An official Cheque issued dtd. 22.07.2009 (SBI, Kolkata Main Branch) in respect of D.C.R.Gratuity and encashed too on 29.07.2009 but I have not received any such instrument from office end. In spite of submitting several letters and filing RTI to State Bank of India, no positive response. No body is able to show the credit details whether office or State Bank of India.

First get information of payment made from his office. if they inform of the cheque then it must be deposited by you as no other person except you is authorised to get delivery of the cheque.
If the department does not respondent then send RTI for this details.
You are entitled to get this money.
If you want further assistance you may feel free to contact .The high court is there to give necessary relief.
