Denied placement by company as was not able to join on time

Sir, I am a B.tech graduate of 2012-2016 batch from ABES Engineering college in Ghaziabad. I got campus placement in Sopra Steria, that gave me a letter of intent. In the letter they have clearly mentioned that the job offer is subject to joining them on or before 30th September. Unfortunately I got a couple of backs in the 7th semester and was not able to join as per regular joining process on 18th July. Having cleared I contacted them,But they declined stating their training have started and requirements are meant. However they clearly stated in the letter provided to me as 30th Sep.
If you're well within the cut-off date I.e. 30th September, they should not deny you from joining. So pls request them to abide by the terms and conditions detailed in the LOI; failing g which, you may serve them with a legal notice.
