Delay in final settlement by the previous company

27-Apr-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)

I have resigned from a company which had a notice period if 30 days. I completed 19 days and agreed on deduction of balance days from final settlement. Now its been over 25 days that i am following up but no response from HR or the management for the final settlement payout. I have the HR letter for relieving what action can I take in order to get my settlement amount and also for the harassment I have been facing due to non-responsiveness from the management of the company.

based on the employer-employee agreement and your relieving formalities send them a legal notice failing which you can file a suit for recovery of money in the concerned court. In the mean time send them some emails and enquire about it and if possible even make a visit and discuss with them to amicably settle the issue otherwise you will have to send a legal notice through a lawyer first.
