Declined offer letter can I face any legal action

17-Jun-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Dear Sir, I had applied for a position in a company & I received an offer from them in terms of salary. I accepted that on email & asked for full offer letter. After receiving the offer letter, I decided to not join that company and informed them 2 weeks in advance that I am declining your offer for some reason. Now I received an email from them that due to my unethical act and false commitment, they have suffered massive financial loss and they will send me a legal notice to make me pay for this loss. I never signed the offer letter nor did I ever sign a bond. Pls advise if this is possible?

Since you informed them before signing the appointment letter and before joining the organization, then you are not bond to pay compensation. You need to reply back to the legal notice without any fail.
