Contractor terminated without approving timesheets

Hello, I worked as a contractor with MNC in Mumbai from Sep 16th to Oct 15th but my timesheets from Sep are not approved but last working day was Oct 15 th intimated by email the same day 3 pm to return the company assets ie laptop and Id in person within 2 days. Salary for Sep due by 1st week Oct was not paid and the timesheets are still not approved and they don't accept laptop by courier whereas most companies accept company assets by courier.
As a contractor, your legal rights would depend on the terms of your contract and company policies. Since your timesheets from September are not approved and your salary for that period hasn’t been paid, you should first check if there are any discrepancies or reasons for non-approval. If there are none, you can send a formal email to your employer requesting approval of the timesheets and payment of your salary. In addition, since they are not accepting the laptop by courier, and you were asked to return it in person, you should comply with their instructions to avoid any allegations of not following company procedures. If they continue to withhold your salary without justification, you may consider issuing a legal notice for breach of contract or unpaid wages under the Payment of Wages Act or contract law. Keep all communications in writing for future reference.

Well, whatever they are not accepting by Courier, you can send them by their preferred mode of delivery and after delivering their requisite goods, ask them to sign on Affidavit, that, you have returned them all their belongings.
