Company not providing revealing letter what action can we take

13-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hi, I was working in one small pvt ltd company and i have resigned the job on June 17 2016 so as per the offer letter i have to complete 60 days notice period but i have completed only 45 days as i have got good offer at another company and i joined there saying some personal reason at old Co. Now i am requesting at old company to issue relieving letter by taking the notice amount for 15 days for which they are not agreeing so please suggest me how do i go ahead about it. I have informed all these things at my new Co. before i join there but they said me that no issues your Co. has to give.

The provisions regarding notice period are very strict. If your previous company had a strict notice period policy, then you have violated it by not completing 60 days and they can penalise you for it. Maybe that's the reason they are not giving you your relieving letter. Please go through your employment agreement/ appointment letter of the previous company and try to negotiate with them regarding non-completion of your notice period.
