Company not correcting joining letter date asking for PF to change it

20-Oct-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I resigned from my previous work place and gave proper notice. However I was given a relieving letter which had incorrect joining date mentioned on it. When I asked for a corrected letter, I was advised that there is come formalities still left and so I need to complete that, only then will I get my letter. It seems the company was paying for my PF without my knowledge but no deduction was made for it from my salary. They now want my help to recover the money from the govt. Once I get the PF money, I should hand it over to them and then I will get my letter. Please help me in getting a proper relieving letter which has the correct joining date and resignation date mentioned on it.

Dear Sir,

You may send them a notice asking them to clear your dues and give you a the corrected relieving letter as per your joining date. IN case they dont reply back you can file a recovery suit in the court asking for your dues as well as approach the labour commissioner for get the relieving letter.
